[KYHAM] October Meeting of the Bluegrass Amateur Radio Society

There will not be an October issue of QUA/HAMnews. I
have had surgery on my right shoulder and it will be some
time before it heals. Please pass the word to your friends
and on any nets you may sign into about the program for
the October meeting. Chris Gay/KU4A will present a
very informative program on predicting HF propagation
and how to determine where those contacts are relative
to where your station may be. This is a particularly good
time to learn about propagation and predicting the best
direction to look for contacts because the new sun cycle
has started. Over the next few months HF communications
are going to improve dramatically and will become almost
as clear as FM, in some cases 24-hours per day. Even
10 meters!

Chris has put together an excellent program and has put a
lot of time into this presentation. Be sure to attend the
meeting October 1, 7:30 PM, in Meeting room B of the
Red Cross Building, 1450 Newtown Pike, Lexington.
