It may work differently by each representative.  I've seen evidence of my
constant requests rattling some trees.  I've been included in follow up
surveys and heard publicly the comments regarding contacts from those being
served.

I also know people working on the inside that say we make more a difference
than you would know and that we should get more people to make their
opinions know, because quite often, the representative may not have a good
grasp of what they are voting on and take our comments seriously when
deciding on a vote.  We have to work together on these things.

Look into www.takebackkentucky.com when you have the chance.  This is an
organization that works to show us how to band together in making our
opinions known and has many accomplishments to show for it's work.

Regarding Geoff Davis, I do not know him personally, but have heard he is
useless.
