This report from KY Section Youth Coordinator Mark AI4BJ:
The weather was cool, but the bands were hot, as the enthusiastic scouts of BSA STEM Troop 437, Fort Thomas, KY made contacts with fellow scouts and hams in Oklahoma, San Francisco and Fleming Island, Florida, during the 2015 Jamboree-On-The-Air. I expect to be hearing some of these youngsters operating under their own call signs in the not too distant future!
Tim K4TDO has really done a great job as our Frequency Coordinator in the Eastern part of KY.
I would like to thank you for the years of service and dedication you have and continue to give to amateur radio. Your dedication of knowledge, time, ability, equipment, and know how has fueled a resurgence of VHF/UHF communications in Eastern Kentucky. —Thanks Fred Jones WA4SWF—
